The licensing model for a perpetual licence is per Operating System. With this model the customer owns the software. The customer would need to provide the relevant database licences as well as the UNIX or Windows hardware server platforms for the software to be installed.
This model allows the customer to effectively run the BDNA solution on their network for a given period of time (normally a minimum of 6 months) with full use of the powerful reporting GUI. Scans can be run by the customer at any point in time with the appliance (the software and hardware that is required to run BDNA) provided by BDNA.
For a fee based on the number of operating systems, BDNA can be installed on any customer network. ITAMS would provide the servers and all the required software to run BDNA as part of a service engagement. Once the engagement is complete, the customer would be left with the results but without the BDNA solution.
